MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY FOR THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING
IN SOME ASPECT OF THEIR LIFE AND ARE WANTING TO

MAKE A CHANGE

.

DO YOU FEEL STUCK IN LIFE

Like each day feels just like the one before, hoping tomorrow will bring something different or new?

THE DECISION TO SEEK THERAPY IS NOT EASY

It means we have to confront the truth that we are struggling in some facet of our life and need help in finding resolution.

Therapy provides a safe space to look inside ourselves, to be honest with who we are and what we want. It is a space to heal deep wounds, identify what is holding you back from living a joyous life, and expanding upon the strengths you have, allowing you to flourish in both relationships and career. When we don’t live as our true selves, stress, anxiety and depression soon take hold. The pressure to maintain an appearance that everything is alright, but knowing on the inside that it is not can be debilitating. This not only negatively impacts our mental health, but our overall wellbeing.

EMDR

THERE IS MORE WISDOM IN YOUR BODY
THAN THE DEEPEST PHILOSPHY

What is EMDR?
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), is a highly affective therapeutic modality for unblocking stuck memories that inhibit healing and growth. Often, our traumas are rooted in early childhood relationships that effect how we relate to ourselves and others. These attachment wounds result in core negative self beliefs, such as feeling unloveable, unsafe or not good enough to name a few.

How does EMDR work?
EMDR is an 8 phase protocol that gets to the root of our core negative self-beliefs. EMDR bypasses our once adaptive defenses of rationalization and denial. This allows the client to identify, process, and heal the core wounds that are getting in the way of living a joyful, self fulfilled life. Bilateral stimulation, most commonly done through the use of gentle vibrating tappers held in each hand, is the hallmark of EMDR. It is believed that bilateral stimulation assists clients in the processing of painful or traumatizing memories.

What issues can EMDR help with?

EMDR is highly effective in the treatment of:

Depression

Anxiety

Trauma

Relational (attachment) wounds

Stress

Sleep issues

BRAINSPOTTING

THE BODY KNOWS HOW TO HEAL ITSELF.
YOU JUST NEED TO LISTEN AND TRUST IT.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a brain based therapeutic approach to healing. Attuning to both the therapeutic relationship and the brain body response of the client allows the therapist to provide a supportive framework for the client to tap into their “inner healing intelligence”, or the body’s ability to heal itself.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or trauma, this gentle and flexible modality is a highly effective treatment to finding the peace and joy in life that you deserve. Many clients have experienced deep and rapid processing with this cutting-edge modality in comparison to traditional “talk therapy”.

Is Brainspotting only for treating trauma?
Brainspotting is not only effective in treating trauma, but has demonstrated efficacy in easing the symptoms of anxiety, depression and addictive behaviors. In addition, Brainspotting can be utilized to expand upon positive neural networks and feelings, helping clients see possibilities rather than barriers. This flexible therapeutic modality has proved to be beneficial in enhancing performance for athletes, actors, musicians and other creatives, clearing blocks, slumps and performance anxiety.

How does Brainspotting work?
Developed by David Grand, PhD. Brainspotting uses eye positions to locate activation spots associated with the emotional trauma that are locked and felt in the body. This focused mindfulness allows the client to access, process and heal emotional wounds located deep in the mid brain.

What to expect after a session
Brainspotting is a safe and effective treatment. The most important aspect in any therapeutic modality is a trusting relationship between the client and therapist, where the client feels safe, seen and heard. Following a session, some clients may experience mild tiredness, more lucid dreams, or a slight increase in emotions as the residual processing continues.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT THERAPY

REDISCOVER YOUR FLOW

What is Performance Enhancement?
Many athletes and creatives experience a slump or block at some point in their career. This can be scary, especially for professionals who rely on their talent or skill for their job. The worry and stress of not performing to your ability only feeds the negative self beliefs and exacerbates the problem. This often results in athletes struggling with the “Yips” (lost move syndrome), or creatives experiencing performance anxiety or blocks losing the love for the profession that once brought them so much joy.

How do EMDR and Brainspotting work for creatives such as musicians, writers, actors, artists and athletes?
EMDR and Brainspotting are highly effective therapies that help identify and heal the underlying issue(s) that result in loss of performance. These modalities help regulate the nervous system, clear the obstacles and blocks that are negatively impacting performance and tap into one’s inner strengths via guided imagery. As the anxiety and stress diminish, the fun and flow state can return once again.

Who can benefit from performance enhancement therapy?
• Musicians
• Actors and Actresses feeling blocked or wanting to connect with or develop a character
• Athletes (Professional or recreational)
• Writers
• Artists

PSYCHEDELIC INTEGRATION

PSYCHEDELICS CAN OPEN THE DOOR TO HEALING.
IT’S UP TO YOU TO WALK THROUGH IT.

What is Psychedelic Integration Therapy?
After a psychedelic journey, it can be difficult for many people to make sense of their experience, whether it be magical, healing, or one of confusion, and integrate it into their daily lives. Psychedelic Integration Therapy is a critical piece of the healing journey that is far too often overlooked or ignored. Gaining awareness without moving it into action or change, is merely awareness that quickly submerges back into the subconscious mind. Without integrating the experience into one’s daily life, old habits will soon take hold, finding oneself dealing with the same unresolved issues. For this reason, many users find themselves participating in more psychedelic journeys than might be needed to ultimately heal unresolved issues and thrive in their lives.

As a psychedelic integration therapist, I utilize a harm reduction model along with parts work, providing a non-judgmental space for clients to prepare for and process their non-ordinary state of consciousness.

Therapeutic use of Psychedelics
Psychedelics and the healing properties they possess, have come a long way since reaching their height of popularity in the 1960’s and early 70’s. No longer seen as the recreational drugs of the “hippie” subculture, psychedelics are now moving and gaining acceptance into mainstream medicine and society in general. Psychedelic Integrative Therapy and psychedelic assisted therapy, are the all important pieces of utilizing the healing properties of psychedelic medicines in a truly  therapeutic manner. Currently, there are numerous studies and clinical trials demonstrating the efficacy of certain psychedelics such as Psilocybin, MDMA, and Ketamine, in the treatment of PTSD, treatment resistant depression and major depressive disorder.

Have you recently experienced a psychedelic journey and are struggling to integrate your experience into your daily life?
If so, seeking a therapist experienced in psychedelic therapy can be beneficial in making meaning of your journey and integrating the awareness into the positive and necessary changes you were most likely seeking. Psychedelics are not a substitute for therapy, as they merely open the door to access the roots of the wounds where deep healing takes place. Psychedelic Integration Therapy provides a safe space to walk through the door and ultimately heal the wounds that are keeping you stuck and preventing you from living the life you want to live.

Maybe you are planning a psychedelic experience and want to be best prepared for your journey.
1. Set and Setting
The term “set and setting” is one of the most important concepts in psychedelic assisted therapy, greatly influencing the quality of the psychedelic experience. “Set”, refers to the mindset or internal state of the person, including intention, expectation and mood. “Setting” is understood as anything related to the environment in which the experience takes place, including the physical environment, the emotional/social environment, and the cultural environment (the ideas and beliefs which are prevalent in the society regarding drug effects and the world in general).
2. Enlisting a Guide / Shaman / Psychedelic Assisted Therapist.
If you are new to psychedelics and want the most of your experience, seek out a guide, shaman or psychedelic assisted therapist, someone who has great experience with hallucinogenic medicines and can provide support if needed during difficult parts of your journey.
3. Set Your Intentions
What are your intentions. Define why you are choosing to go on a psychedelic journey, what you are hoping to gain from it.
4. Dosage
Taking the proper amount or dose can be the difference between a long and difficult trip, a pleasant trip, or experiencing minimal effects. Your body weight, time of your last meal, mindset and potency of the hallucinogen all greatly effect the dosage.

* I am trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through Polaris Insight Center.
*Psychedelic Integration Therapy is intended to be a safe space for those who have used, are currently using, or intend to use psychedelic substances in their personal lives and outside of a legal setting. I do not provide or prescribe any psychedelic or other controlled substance to a client during the course of therapy. Clients should not plan to attend therapy sessions while under the influence of any psychedelic or any other controlled substance, unless prescribed by a doctor.

Our sorrows and wounds are Healed only when we touch them with Compassion.
